At Capital Club, our professional staff of nationally certified Personal Trainers specialize in maximizing results with an individualized workout program that is both efficient and effective.

Personal training covers all aspects of fitness — strength, flexibility, weight management and cardiovascular endurance. Trainers work with individuals one-on-one or in semi-private groups to develop a comprehensive exercise program tailored to both personal needs and time restraints.

  • Our Certified Trainers are available 85 hours a week.
  • We provide effective workouts in as little as 30 minutes.
  • Healthy meals are available on site or "to go."
  • The locker room is stocked with fresh towels, shower products, hairdryers and ironing facilities.
  • Optional laundry service is available.

Professional Fitness Trainers

J.L. Holdsworth, BS, CSCS, USAW, Elite Powerlifter
J.L. has been involved with weight training for more than 15 years. After college J.L. became the strength and conditioning assistant at Wayne State University before serving the assistant at the University of Kentucky. J.L. moved to Columbus to train for powerlifting at the world-famous Westside Barbell. Since then, J.L. has not only set world bench press records, but has been featured in national publications, including MensHealth, Powerlifting USA, Monster Muscle and several online magazines. J.L. has more than 5,000 hours of personal training experience and has helped countless clients reach their fitness goals.

Brian Saunders
Brian has been certified by ATC and Expert Training, and has been involved in Health and Fitness for more than a decade. He has served as an athletic trainer, strength and conditioning coach and a High School Administrator. Brian was also a football coach in both Dayton and Portsmouth, Ohio. He received a BS in Sports Medicine at Shawnee State University and is currently working on his MBA at Ohio Dominican University. Brian's philosophy on training includes various workouts such as functional, biomechanical and traditional training methods. According to Brian, "the body has to be constantly challenged in order to stimulate change, therefore variety and intensity are the two most important factors in successfully reaching fitness goals."
